Senior Developer

‍JOB PURPOSE

You're a strong, hands-on Webflow developer who builds fast, builds clean, and takes real ownership of what you ship — without necessarily wanting to run the studio's technical direction (yet). This isn't the top job. It's the one right below it, for developers who know they're good, but aren't sure they're "Lead Developer" good. If that's you, keep reading.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• End-to-end delivery of your own projects, from handoff to launch
• Webflow builds using Client-First, Mast, Lumos, or whatever the project calls for — we're not married to one framework
• Motion and interaction that elevates the design — GSAP, Webflow Interactions, Lottie
• CMS structuring and dynamic content for small-to-mid scale projects
• Custom code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript where Webflow's native tools fall short
• Clean handoffs, thorough QA, and honest flags when something's off before it becomes a client problem

WHERE THIS SITS

You'll work alongside our Lead Developer, not instead of them. They set the technical direction and standards across the studio; you execute at a high level within that, with real autonomy over your own builds. Good performance here is the fastest path to more ownership — including the Lead Developer seat, when it's next open.

BEYOND WEBFLOW

We build in Webflow, but we don't think in Webflow only.

• Experience with Next.js, Astro, Sanity, or Vercel is a genuine advantage
• Understanding how modern frameworks and headless CMS work makes you a sharper Webflow developer
• We're increasingly leveraging AI to speed up how we build — you should be comfortable using it
• You need to understand what it outputs well enough to catch bad code, not just ship whatever it gives you

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE DAY-TO-DAY

• Turning a Figma file into a clean, responsive, high-performing build without hand-holding
• Knowing when to flag a design decision that won't translate well to build
• Asking good questions early instead of guessing and rebuilding later
• Using AI tools to move faster, while still understanding every line that ships
• Taking feedback on your code well, and applying it next time without being told twice

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2-4 years of professional Webflow development experience
• Solid understanding of Client-First, Lumos, or similar naming and structuring conventions
• Confident with GSAP, animations, and Webflow-native interactions
• Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Comfortable translating Figma designs into high-quality builds independently
• Genuine curiosity about frameworks beyond Webflow — Next.js, Astro, Sanity, Vercel
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of your workflow, without losing the ability to read and reason about code yourself

• You've touched Next.js, Astro, Sanity, or Vercel on a real project
• You've got a portfolio of builds you're proud of, even if they're not "enterprise scale" yet
• You're the kind of person who wants the Lead Developer job eventually, and is building toward it

THE HONEST PART

This role won't have you running client calls solo or setting studio-wide standards — that's the Lead Developer's job. What it will give you is real ownership over real projects, a Lead Developer who'll actually mentor you instead of just checking your work, and a clear track toward more responsibility as you earn it. If you're good but still growing into "the most senior technical voice in the room," this is where that growth happens.
